The internet promised endless content on endless platforms. What that actually means is a paralysis-inducing surfeit of choice. We’re sitting in a content diner confronted with an ever-expanding menu of options, most of which are bad. Curators have been replaced by algorithms, which supposedly know what people want before they do.
BombPopTV rejects this state of affairs. We’re a human-run company in an algorithmic world. We’re curators, not equations, and are dedicated to cultivating a new generation of artists whose work will transform how people understand the world and their place in it. We are scouts who scour underground artistic communities to highlight talent that larger media corporations, due to their obsessions with ratings and shareholder value, are too out-of-touch to know about.
We work with artists who critique contemporary affairs and the culture at large because they know, as we know, that we deserve better than the latest focus-grouped dramedy that would have felt stale years ago.
We’re a growing family of directors, writers, and actors who share sensibilities across genres, styles, and generations.
